Parkhotel Am Schanzchen in Andernach

The staff was great, the reception was very helpful, the head waiter was very friendly. The ambience was fantastic. Here you always come back with pleasure, whether just for a coffee with a great view or a delicious meal.

Stayed here for a couple of days. Positive: great view of the Rhine, friendly staff, breakfast was adequate, delicious cakes and free parking Negative: an aging hotel, stained carpet, dirty showers (encrusted) and little choice in terms of food, internet only with cable connection On the whole it was ok but wouldn't come again.

Getting a little old. The beer garden offers a manageable menu. All the dishes offered are very good and tasty. The service is great and extremely friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, this hotel also has a so-called Nobel Prize restaurant. The waiters in this area are arrogant, arrogant and rude and unfortunately have no understanding at all for gastronomy! The ladies in the beer garden are great. !!! It's a shame that there is such a different conception of service in one house. The rooms are very well maintained and the room service is great! Sumasumarum a great hotel room with a fantastic view of the Rhine. If it weren't for the two arrogant waiters.

Just neat hotel. Good beds. Room is clean. Bathroom bit outdated but otherwise fine. The hotel has a very good restaurant. Very tasty but had to wait a long time for the food. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately this hotel is showing its age and nothing is added to the entertainment. The whole area looks neglected, a broom would help the overall appearance a lot. Beer garden is in a beautiful location, tables and chairs should be replaced urgently. Staff is disinterested, forgets some things at breakfast. For the price of € 125 I expected more

We had booked a handicapped accessible room and got it. But which was very tight. The breakfast was plentiful and good. But the hotel is getting a bit old. 2 disabled parking spaces at such a large facility, which were often misused. And when asked at the information desk they were cleared very quickly with a SORRY. What are unauthorized persons doing in such parking lots ????? In one week I never saw the police or the public order office, which is around the corner.

For a single room under the roof without air conditioning for 85 euros per night is more than exaggerated. If you dared to open the balcony door to get some air in the evening, you had everything, cars from the intersection, the main road and freight traffic next door. I think you get something much better for the money. Not again.

We were the first and only guests after the Corona opening. Great service, room very clean, the view from the balcony perfect. Small menu, but everything tasted freshly prepared and delicious. Unbeatable ambience. We will definitely be back in normal time.

Lovely location, good food and service.

Good hotel, friendly staff very good restaurant. For some reason the toilet always needs flushing 4 or 5 times after a number 2 and having stayed in practically all the rooms over the years its the same in almost all rooms. If you're not OCD about it like me then you will be fine.

Rooms are out dated. Wi-Fi was flakey. I did have a nice view on a balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast was limited also. Staff were friendly. Room was cold and there was no heating, thin duvets too.

Location is great. Restaurant is good but WiFi is weak and there is no A/C. So if you are going in hot months look elsewhere.

Hotel building is old but on riverside. Parking available free of cost. In summer months ask for ventilator as there is no air conditioning. Breakfast is just about ok. Staff is less but alert and helpful. Restaurant is facing the river. The ferry station for the Geyser trip is 800 meters away...very close . If you arrive late at night you have to open the main door with your key. There won't be anyone around midnight.

Perfect choice for a long weekend at an event in Andernach. Check in was quick and friendly. I found parking spots in front of the hotel every night. Other options were available. Room was clean and well equipped. Good shower. Plenty of lights and power points. But the star is that view from the balcony. Over the Rhine river and valley. Stunning day or night. I arrived late on first night. Table available in restaurant with that view. Food was top class. Koenig Pilsner on draft. Perfect. Early starts meant I missed breakfast until the last morning. Wide continental selection. Juices. Coffee. Highly recommended.

I really liked it there, it was very comfortable and great. The food and the drinks were very yummy and i would recommend it for everyone.

This place is horrible. Things look shubby, worn by ages. There is no drinking water in the room. Even for the cheap business trip I would not advise it.
